This Cajun Shrimp and Crab Mac and Cheese is super creamy, cheesy and decadent. This delicious spin towards the classic dish will certainly be your brand-new favourite!

Alright, so before I breakdown the layers of perfection with this dish, I wanna discuss the measurements of spices. Now in my own family, whenever we cook, we don’t measure a damn thing. We usually just eyeball it and add just as much or little once we want and hope it tastes great (which it always does!). Obviously, since i have was thinking about sharing the recipe on here, I measured everything – to MY liking.

You’ll see within the recipe below, for that spices I added the minimum amount you can include, and the utmost which is the total amount I used. My family’s an enormous fan of spicy, therefore i added a substantial amount of Cayenne and Paprika. It isn’t really the same for you personally or your loved ones, therefore you should add less or even more if you want.

  3. Once skillet is hot, add shrimp and cook, stirring constantly until shrimp is pink, 4-6 minutes. Reserve.

FOR THAT PASTA :

  1. Preheat oven to 350F (177C). Lightly butter a 9×13-inch baking dish and reserve.
  2. Bring a big pot of salted water to some boil over high temperature. Add macaroni and cook until al dente (take a look at package directions to observe how long it requires). Usually do not overcook.
  3. Drain well and transfer cooked pasta to a big bowl. Mix in Cajun shrimp, crab chunks and basil. Reserve.
